Wanderlust, humanitarian, educator, lover of all things furry and sparkling, and on occasion – Wonder Woman.

This is Joey Mead. But you already knew that. For the uninitiated, allow me to expound on a magnificent career that spans two decades, and is still blossoming.

The camera’s love affair with Joey began when she graced our living rooms as the First Filipina “International” VJ for Channel [V] (1997-2001). Her absolute charm, razor-sharp wit, irreverent humour and drop-dead exotic features brought a unique style of hosting that Asia was not ready for– but fully embraced. Other notable hosting gigs included X-Music Los Angeles (2003), the inaugural host of AXN’s long-time running EBuzz (2005), Starhub World Cup host (Singapore 2006) and “the Face” of HBO (2010).

As a VJ (back when being a ‘VJ’ mattered) Joey interviewed every “one hit wonder” that passed through Asia. Highlights include NSYNC, 98 Degrees, Human Nature, Color Me Bad, BoyZone and many others.

As Joey built her musical resume, she was just as knowledgeable and equally passionate about the Hollywood scene. Her interviews with Keanu Reeves, Morgan Freeman, Christian Bale, Ken Watanabe, Liam Neeson, Katie Holmes & directors Francis Lawrence & Christopher Nolan are all Internet “must-views.”

Needless to say, Ms. Joey Mead is THE “go to” host when it comes to live event hosting. No one commands a crowd, sets the tone, saves production companies, and makes clients VERY happy like Joey. Every major fashion event in Manila will have Ms. Mead at the helm.

Having worked in L.A. & NYC under the prestigious Ford Agency, Joey now gives back to the craft she loves so much by teaching up-and-coming models runway etiquette and hosting.

Our four-legged furry friends also benefit from Ms. Mead’s kind heart. A staunch supporter of animal rights, Joey is a vocal member of P.A.W.S. Also, her love for the youth is evident in her tireless participation with The Chosen Children’s Village.

Music, television, fashion, education, “Hollywood goss”—- there is no genre Joey Mead can’t conquer. In fact, please refrain from ever using that four-letter word around her— “can’t.” Or face the wrath of Wonder Woman.

Supermodel, actress, entertainer, entrepreneur, eco-warrior.

Born in Sydney to an Australian mother and an Indonesian father, Nadya’s career took off at the early age of 12, when she headed to Tokyo to pursue a modelling career. Her distinctive looks and vibrant personality brought plenty of work with top international publications all over the world. Her ease and confidence in front of the cameras later solidified her incredible success as MTV’s Asia pioneer VJ entertaining over 70 million households across Asia.

As one of Asia’s most recognized faces, Nadya has devoted her time and voice to the environment. She made headlines by building Singapore’s first ever eco-home from scratch, a project that took 3 years (and is still ongoing, she adds). This resulted in Nadya’s favourite project by far, Green Kampong, which became an online resource for anyone looking for information and news on sustainable living. Nadya’s green advocacy work has garnered the attention of many, among them CNN, who dubbed her one of “Singapore’s Top 20 most Influential People” in 2009.

Nadya was voted one of Asia’s Leading Trendmakers by Asiaweek magazine, alongside the Dalai Lama, Michelle Yeoh and Chow Yun Fat, for her special ability to inspire and fascinate. Nadya’s natural mixture of confidence, humour and the sheer ability to entertain made her the Winner of the Best Light Entertainment Presenter Award at the Asian Television Awards in 1997. In this same year, she was also voted Showtime Personality of the Year by Singapore’s The New Paper, and Singapore’s Most Gorgeous Woman by Female magazine readers. Nadya was also named as one of the top ten “Shining Stars” on Indonesian Television by Indonesian paper Bintang.

She is excited to join the Asia’s Next Top Model team for the chance to make a difference in the lives of aspiring young models around Asia.
