From a young boy whose wardrobe was filled with only T-shirts and shorts, Daniel Boey, a fashion / creative director whose name is now synonymous with inspired, cutting-edge and ground-breaking ideas, drew his fashion inspiration from his dad who is a spiffy sartorial dresser.

Feeding his immense interest in fashion and later on his love for the stage, Daniel began to flip through fashion magazines and has been attending fashion shows ever since his youth. Having graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1989 with a BA in Geography and English literature, Daniel Boey is now one of the most sought-after fashion and lifestyle event producers in Asia.

Hailed as one of the “Singaporeans who mattered most in 2009” by CNNGo.com – a travel and lifestyle website by CNN – Daniel’s extensive portfolio includes some of the most highly publicised fashion events in the region, inclusive of work done in London, Edinburgh, Berlin, Manchester, New York, Bangkok, Beijing, Shanghai, Ho Chi Minh City and KL for high-profile clients such as Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Loewe, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Tiffany, Valentino, Armani, G-Star, M.A.C, Paloma Picasso, Herve Leger and Vera Wang, Alexis Mabille, Maxime Simoens and Anne Valerie Hash.

As one of the region’s most respected fashion icons, Daniel was roped in by the DesignSingapore council as a fashion consultant for its shows in London, Beijing, Shanghai and Milan. He has been a show director in other world-renowned events too such as the Singapore Jewel Fest, the Edinburgh Fashion Festival, Experience UK in Dubai, Manchester Fashion Week, Commonwealth Fashion and “Manchester in Malaysia”. Besides being the creative director of the Singapore Fashion Festival in 2004 and 2008, he was also appointed as the creative director of the first Asia Men’s Fashion Week in 2011.

As a stylist, Daniel has worked with regional and international celebrities, namely, David Archuleta, Bar Refaeli, Adam Lambert, Jodie Kidd, Denise Keller, Allen Wu and Nadya Hutagalung, and was invited as a guest stylist for an episode of “Germany’s Next Top Model”. Daniel has hosted “987fashion” and “fashion police” on Singapore radio, and has presented fashion and lifestyle segments on various TV channels.

In recognition of his contribution and impact in the fast-paced fashion industry, Daniel received the Elle magazine (Singapore) fashion icon of the year award in 2007, as well as numerous endorsements from various fashion and lifestyle houses, including G-star, New Balance, Motorola and Grey Goose. Daniel looks forward to infusing his touch of fashion and style into Asia’s Next Top Model 2012.

JOEY MEAD KING

Wanderlust, humanitarian, educator, lover of all things furry and sparkling, and on occasion – Wonder Woman.

This is Joey Mead. But you already knew that. For the uninitiated, allow me to expound on a magnificent career that spans two decades, and is still blossoming.

The camera’s love affair with Joey began when she graced our living rooms as the First Filipina “International” VJ for Channel [V] (1997-2001). Her absolute charm, razor-sharp wit, irreverent humour and drop-dead exotic features brought a unique style of hosting that Asia was not ready for– but fully embraced. Other notable hosting gigs included X-Music Los Angeles (2003), the inaugural host of AXN’s long-time running EBuzz (2005), Starhub World Cup host (Singapore 2006) and “the Face” of HBO (2010).

As a VJ (back when being a ‘VJ’ mattered) Joey interviewed every “one hit wonder” that passed through Asia. Highlights include NSYNC, 98 Degrees, Human Nature, Color Me Bad, BoyZone and many others.

As Joey built her musical resume, she was just as knowledgeable and equally passionate about the Hollywood scene. Her interviews with Keanu Reeves, Morgan Freeman, Christian Bale, Ken Watanabe, Liam Neeson, Katie Holmes & directors Francis Lawrence & Christopher Nolan are all Internet “must-views.”

Needless to say, Ms. Joey Mead is THE “go to” host when it comes to live event hosting. No one commands a crowd, sets the tone, saves production companies, and makes clients VERY happy like Joey. Every major fashion event in Manila will have Ms. Mead at the helm.

Having worked in L.A. & NYC under the prestigious Ford Agency, Joey now gives back to the craft she loves so much by teaching up-and-coming models runway etiquette and hosting.

Our four-legged furry friends also benefit from Ms. Mead’s kind heart. A staunch supporter of animal rights, Joey is a vocal member of P.A.W.S. Also, her love for the youth is evident in her tireless participation with The Chosen Children’s Village.

Music, television, fashion, education, “Hollywood goss”—- there is no genre Joey Mead can’t conquer. In fact, please refrain from ever using that four-letter word around her— “can’t.” Or face the wrath of Wonder Woman.

NADYA HUTAGALUNG

Supermodel, actress, entertainer, entrepreneur, eco-warrior.

Born in Sydney to an Australian mother and an Indonesian father, Nadya’s career took off at the early age of 12, when she headed to Tokyo to pursue a modelling career. Her distinctive looks and vibrant personality brought plenty of work with top international publications all over the world. Her ease and confidence in front of the cameras later solidified her incredible success as MTV’s Asia pioneer VJ entertaining over 70 million households across Asia.

As one of Asia’s most recognized faces, Nadya has devoted her time and voice to the environment. She made headlines by building Singapore’s first ever eco-home from scratch, a project that took 3 years (and is still ongoing, she adds). This resulted in Nadya’s favourite project by far, Green Kampong, which became an online resource for anyone looking for information and news on sustainable living. Nadya’s green advocacy work has garnered the attention of many, among them CNN, who dubbed her one of “Singapore’s Top 20 most Influential People” in 2009.

Nadya was voted one of Asia’s Leading Trendmakers by Asiaweek magazine, alongside the Dalai Lama, Michelle Yeoh and Chow Yun Fat, for her special ability to inspire and fascinate. Nadya’s natural mixture of confidence, humour and the sheer ability to entertain made her the Winner of the Best Light Entertainment Presenter Award at the Asian Television Awards in 1997. In this same year, she was also voted Showtime Personality of the Year by Singapore’s The New Paper, and Singapore’s Most Gorgeous Woman by Female magazine readers. Nadya was also named as one of the top ten “Shining Stars” on Indonesian Television by Indonesian paper Bintang.

She is excited to join the Asia’s Next Top Model team for the chance to make a difference in the lives of aspiring young models around Asia.

With 20+ years of combined experience on both sides of the camera, the Canadian-born photographer uses the lens to push the boundaries of style and creative exploration.

For over a decade, Tyler has operated a successful studio in Shanghai, China, becoming the photographer and art director of choice for his knack to transform models into icons. Tyler has captured the rising stars of Asia’s freshest faces including Liu Wen, Fei Fei Sun and Kiki Kang. His unique point of view on producing artistic imagery is expressed candidly each month in a column he writes for Asian Photography, India and Asia’s premier professional photography magazine.
