With the height of the social media platform, more and more passionate individuals take their causes to greater heights – creating waves and driving change.
Now on its 3rd year, Tatt Awards remains to be inspired by the Filipino Youth’s amazing creativity, wit and command for the online social medium. Created to be a ground breaking avenue to discover online marvels, Tatt Awards, in its past 2 years, has given recognition to selected individuals with various platforms that made an impact may it be a blog, a viral video, new music, down to a trending hashtag. This year, it is all about young blood – those who share Tattoo’s fiery passion for greatness.

This year’s Tatt Awards will honor individuals in 13 different categories, searching the best of the best from the 19th of April until its main event in end June through an exciting and innovative process of nominations, screening, judging and public voting.
Leading the rigorous selection is a group of individuals renowned in their respective fields. Joining Ronquillo in this year’s Tatt Council are: Rappler Chief Executive Officer Maria Ressa; author of the country’s leading tech blog Yugatech.com, Abe Olandres; Renowned for his gastronomic adventures, Our Awesome Planet’s Anton Diaz; one of the country’s leading advocates of Original Pilipino Music Jim Paredes; Top international model and personality Joey Mead-King; In demand talented photographer BJ Pascual; YouTube sensation and former Tatt Awards winner comedian Mikey Bustos; Multi-faceted TV personality Bianca Gonzalez; video producer for global site Mashable Bianca Consunji and Seasoned sports analyst TJ Manotoc.
The Tatt Council will spearhead the screening of nominations and shortlisting of finalists following specific criteria for judging making up 70% of the total score. The Tatt Council’s 70% is made up of Content Quality (40%); Social Media Impact (20%); and Relevance of content to the specific category (10%). The remaining 30% of the total score on the hand consists of: Social Media Engagement and influence based on fans, followers, subscribers, etc. (20%) and lastly Public Voting (10%).
Anyone with a Facebook, Twitter and/or Google account can nominate in three easy steps: log on to http://www.TattAwards.com, fill out the nomination form and tell us a little something about the nominee and why you think they should win. You can nominate as many people of your choosing and personally pick which category best suit your nominee; you can even create your own category.
The user-generated category with the most relevant unique nominees will be included in the official list of categories at this year’s Tatt Awards. After last year’s success of receiving more than double unique nominations from 2011, Tattoo is set to raise the bar and receive more unique nominations this year.
Act now and cast your nominations for the major categories: Blogger Phenom of the Year; Trending Twitter Phenom of the Year; YoutubePhenom of the Year; InstagramPhenom of the Year. Regular categories on the other hand are: Best Social Media Movement; Best Comedy on YouTube; Best Music on YouTube; Best Style Blog; Best Sports Blog or Microblog; Best Tech Blog or Podcast; Best Photoblog or Microblog and Best Travel or Food blog.
Screening of nominations will begin on May 13 to 23, 2013. And as the top 5 per category are determined, there will be a formal announcement of finalists slated on June 13, 2013. Public voting will then kick off on June 23, 2013. Once all scores have been added up including the remaning 10% from online votes, winners will finally be announced by the end of June.
Major category winners are set to receive a cash prize of 100,000 pesos while special award winners will receive 50,000 pesos.
