UNOde50 was founded in the late 1990s by a group of designers who resolved to establish a brand of fashion jewellery and accessories that would break all existing moulds. The project was based on the creation of jewels with a unique and distinctive style, which soon became known for their flair and innovation.
This fusion of tradition and modernity was the breeding ground for a new and different brand, steeped in a spirit of craftsmanship and signalling exclusivity through its design and quality. The brand started out with the original and exclusive philosophy of creating only 50 units of each design, thereby supplying the trademark name. This unorthodox approach soon proved an unqualified success.
A Spanish brand of handcrafted jewellery whose hallmark is its unique and distinctive design.
Over time, UNOde50’s production and family have grown, although the name has remained in order to remind us that, just as on the very first day, the quality and exclusiveness of each piece are our first priority.
UNOde50 is authentic for its:
2. Unique style
3. Bold spirit
4. 100% handcrafted “Made in Spain” production process

Style De Vie: Sledgers forays into fashion
Founded by John Sledgers in 1921 in France, Sledgers is rooted in its French heritage which immortalizes men’s footwear that are both comfortable and stylish as oppose to simply choosing one over the other. For more than 90 years, Sledgers stays true in crafting elegantly designed shoes that are extremely comfortable thanks to its various innovative technologies.
Having high-achieving men with a predilection for style and comfort in mind, Sledgers aim to be associated with comfort, style, and simple elegance through its impeccable selection of leather footwear. To offer unparalleled footwear in its range, Sledgers is constantly thinking up ways to come up with stylish footwear without sacrificing comfort.
And that is achieved by making use of Sledgers’ distinct kind of technology namely, the Flex and Move, which gives comfort to the feet and allows for freedom of movement; the Extra Light feature which makes use of materials imported from Italy – making shoes lighter than regular leather shoes.
Sledgers footwear are also Airport Friendly which means that the shoes are all metal-free. In part, it is what makes the shoes light and guarantees a hassle-free airport experience. A trademark of Sledgers, the shoes are made a little extra wider than normal shoes to cater to those who have wider feet for absolute comfort.
Not to be missed is the Shockwave Dispersion present in each Sledgers shoe. The outsoles of the shoes are designed to distribute the impact of ever step to lessen the wear on tear on one’s feet. Plus, the insoles of Sledgers shoes are removable to prevent accumulation of bacteria.
In order to classify its products according to the needs of its customers, Sledgers came up with three categories, namely the classic line, which features a classic silhouette, round end, and a comfortable rubber outsole. Apart from the usual Sledgers technologies, it offers extra height to its wearer.
For the elite line, the shoes feature a pointed end, very style driven, and bear a wooden or rubber outsole. These models are extra light, airport friendly, offer extra height, and allows for a removable insole.
For the casual line, men can choose from a variety of designs such as boat shoes, driving shoes, slip-ons, and weekend shoes. All of which possess flex and move, extra width, airport friendly, and removable insole technologies.
In its efforts to prove its ability to delve into fashion, Sledgers is making its presence felt strongly by launching a new store at the Fashion Hall, the newly-opened expansion of SM Megamall. Aiming to establish the brand as a fashion label as much as it is a staple leather shoe brand, Sledgers gathered the metro’s elite crowd for the launch of its Elite and Casual line in the country – proving its ability to cater to the high-fashion enthusiasts.
Gracing the event was Florian Rocher, Sledgers’ Export Manager, who expounded further on Sledgers new direction, which is to tap the high-fashion inclined audience with two new lines of footwear that offer a variety of designs and silhouettes inspired by the ever-changing trends and tastes of the market.
Apart from Rocher, one of the country’s prominent design icons, Rhett Eala, also did a live look book styling of Sledgers. Making use of the brand’s three shoe lines, Eala demonstrated how seamless it was to infuse Sledgers’ stylish and fashion-forward footwear into the season’s most trendy and tasteful outfits.
As guests listened intently to the program, wine and French food was being passed around in true French fashion. Highlighting the event was a champagne toast to the new and reinvented Sledgers – signaling its official foray into fashion.
Effortless but elegantly stylish, Sledgers bear signature French look that a lot of fasion-forward individuals try so hard to attain. From staple leather footwear that elevates the taste of any formal ensemble, Sledgers forays into being a go-to fashion brand for men who want to achieve an effortless and elegant feel to their looks.

The Mega Fashion Hall, SM Megamall’s game-changing new wing, opens on January 28, 2014 as a premier shopping, dining, and lifestyle destination.
The 86,000 square meter new wing also creates a new exciting presence on EDSA and gives SM Megamall a fresh, iconic identity. SM Mega Fashion Hall’s exterior takes its cue from the barcode blocks from the existing mall in white and silver metal barcode stripes, all running vertically.
The main part of the expansion is a semicircular drum located on the former Building B carpark site facing EDSA. Five-storeys high to match the existing SM Megamall floors, its basic planning forms a half-circle loop which connects into the original SM Megamall’s straight circulation spine.
In addition, a large wedge-shaped atrium penetrates the drum, allowing for a central multi-purpose space, which can host performances, exhibitions, fairs, and product launches. This atrium also acts as a huge display window towards EDSA, where people can glimpse the many activities and merchandise displays inside.
What’s trending at the new Mega Fashion Hall? It is home to the flagship stores of the world’s most popular fashion brands Uniqlo and Zara. Many new global brands will be opening their first store in the Philippines at the new wing, including Denmark’s Vero Moda, Spain’s Pull & Bear and Uno de 50, LA-based Joe’s Jeans, London’s Savile Row and Burton, French shoe brand Nao de Brasil, and U.S. skincare label Philosophy.
