Upcoming Ladies Lifestyle Brand Opens Stores in Manila

Paris, Milan, Los Angeles and New York. Four fashion capitals in one store. This is the concept of the upcoming ladies lifestyle shoe brand La Mode Moderne pour le Femmes or simply MMF. Inspired by styles from these cities, MMF brings global fashion into the local setting as it opens its first stores in Glorietta 2 (2/F) and Lucky Chinatown (3/F).

MMF (in English, modern fashion for women) is the brainchild of 23-year old Chauntia Chan. A shoe aficionado herself, Chauntia, inspired by her passion for shoes, travel and Carrie Bradshaw, has decided to realize her passion by introducing shoe collections for the woman who just can’t get enough of shoes.

“The MMF woman is a woman of the world,” says Chauntia. “She is always on-the-go, and accustomed to the fast-paced lifestyle. She is opinionated and not scared to express herself. She works hard and likes to reward herself by going out or shopping. She is updated and knows what’s hot and not. She is adventurous and not scared to try out new things. A true  shopaholic, she does not let her economic situation affect her passion for fashion.”

Chauntia positions the MMF brand as an emerging Asian brand. While shoe styles are inspired from these global cities, Chauntia utilizes materials from various Asian countries.

MMF regular items range from Php800 to Php2800++. The MMF experience would not be complete without bags and accessories which range from Php480 to PHp2800++. Mindful of total customer satisfaction, MMF stores also offer freshly brewed coffee to all visitors.

MMF’s “Private Collection,” which caters to a more discriminating clientele, will be launched during the 4th quarter of 2014. The Private Collection will feature progressive styles in limited quantities and made of genuine leather.

Apart from Glorietta and Lucky Chinatown, MMF will open its third branch in Ayala Fairview Terraces in March 2014.

MMF is officially launched in Manila with an exclusive “Shoe Buffet.” Invitees include fashion stylists, members of the press, bloggers, and personalities. The event is presented by C3 Events Place (official venue), Samsung Electronics Philippines, John Lozano, and JB
Bolanos of Bond Marketing Solutions.

Francesca Versace for BRICS Collection Launch 2013

BRIC’S, the internationally acclaimed 60 year-old Italian luggage brand, recently made the announcement that the BRIC’S – Francesca Versace collection called Travel Sense will debut in Asia here in the Philippines, specifically the BRIC’S Shangri-La Mall’s new East Wing store and in the SM Aura BRIC’S boutique before its launch in other Asian countries.

TRAVEL SENSE traces its origins from cooperation between Bric’s, a top-level testimonial of Italian style in the luggage and accessories market; and Francesca Versace, born in a family of fashion designers and a designer herself. The collaboration stems from an interaction between two different interpretations of travelling: Francesca, for who travel is a reason for life; and Bric’s, whose core-business has been founded on the words industria, valigeria, fine: industry, travel, luggage, and quality.

The collaboration between Francesca and Bric’s combines an interplay of different elements and strikes a perfect balance between technology, tradition, craftsmanship, functionality, quality, and fashion.

The collection of bags and accessories revolves around the theme of travelling which is re-interpreted through the recurring feature of a frame as an element that encloses an entire existence: dreams, desires, emotions and most especially moments that shape one’s life.

A frame – the overall theme selected by Francesca for the Bric’s FV_Bags collection – reflects her personality and her natural talent. It also symbolizes one’s life: dreams, wishes, emotions, and moments that are part of its history. Just like a photo, a place that is rooted deep in one’s heart can be ideally enclosed in a frame.

I can never forget Francesca Versace said to me when I’m taking photos for my blog that she can recognize me because of my green hair.

And when her mother ask me why my hair is green, I said, “My hair is naturally green, I just died my roots black” and she was laughing at what I said and She agreed.

It was a night full of show and surprises as they unveiled the Francesca Versace Collection and opened the store in a visually pleasing graphics show.

Project Runway and Marie Claire’s creative director Nina Garcia headlined the JAG ORIGINS show for the 2013 Philippine Fashion Week at the SMX Convention Center.

The renowned fashion journalist and style icon will provide a sneak preview of JAG ORIGINS – a series of talks on fashion, marketing and creative thinking that targets the industry and art/fashion students.

As the inaugural speaker of JAG ORIGINS, Nina brings to the fore her over two decades of experience in the fashion industry, whose highlights include being fashion director at Elle magazine for 17 years, and at Marie Claire for four years.

With degrees from Boston University and Fashion Institute of Technology, Nina has written four books about style, and presently hosts Decoding Style on AOL. She also enjoys strong following on social media, with millions of supporters on her Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and Tumblr accounts.

JAG also invited three of the country’s most promising designers Jerome Salaya Ang, Norman Noriega, and Jeffrey Rogador to create a special collection, which will be presented at the event to inspire budding creatives. Then, JAG ORIGINS will culminate with the launch of its Holiday 2013 collection, in a fashion show that features Ankle Cut Jeans for women and Stretch Denim for men.
