SM Megamall’s new wing, the Mega Fashion Hall gives SM Megamall a fresh, iconic identity.

The Mega Fashion Hall, SM Megamall’s game-changing new wing, opens on January 28, 2014 as a premier shopping, dining, and lifestyle destination.

The 86,000 square meter new wing also creates a new exciting presence on EDSA and gives SM Megamall a fresh, iconic identity. SM Mega Fashion Hall’s exterior takes its cue from the barcode blocks from the existing mall in white and silver metal barcode stripes, all running vertically.

The main part of the expansion is a semicircular drum located on the former Building B carpark site facing EDSA. Five-storeys high to match the existing SM Megamall floors, its basic planning forms a half-circle loop which connects into the original SM Megamall’s straight circulation spine.

In addition, a large wedge-shaped atrium penetrates the drum, allowing for a central multi-purpose space, which can host performances, exhibitions, fairs, and product launches.  This atrium also acts as a huge display window towards EDSA, where people can glimpse the many activities and merchandise displays inside.

BCBGMAXAZRIA FALL 2013

Autumn’s warm embrace is slowly inching its way to Manila in BCBGMAXAZRIA’s Fall 2013 Collection called Wild Life and Lady Remix. While still keeping the brand’s vision of taking today’s dynamic woman from the hustling work place to a relaxing weekend getaway in style, this season pushes its boundaries to challenging the norm. While exploring new possibilities to break free from the standardization of the mass market, the fashion powerhouse consciously combines novel and appealing solutions with new concepts to continuously re-enchant its loyal consumers.

BCBG 1013365_10202257447098896_216182489_n fashionAtetheLawyer

Characterized by the 4 archetypes of the BCBGMAXAZRIA customer, this season’s ambassadors embody each one. Xandra Rocha, an up and coming restaurateur, TV Show host and modern businesswoman, celebrates her youth by being a Visionary. She was always the independent thinker and trendsetter who trail blazes through her day-to-day activities with the use of inspirational fashion expressions.

We also have Jessica Kienle, a model and entrepreneur of Swiss-Filipino descent from an affluent family who characterizes the Socialite—part of the enviable elite and is well-versed in the latest must-have styles. Mikaela Lagdameo, on the other hand, loves to play with styles that range from casual and relaxed to classically elegant. A Connoisseur in her own light, she shines in the field of modeling and business, where she continues to balance personal and family life. To round up our list we have our Urban Rocker, Jerika Ejercito, who fancies being on the edge and effortlessly cool.

Inspired by vintage elements with modern details, the apparent mirroring of the eclectic style of the Gypsies in Southern Europe is very evident in the designs of Wild Life. The primary color palette that the shift dresses, tunics, loose pants, sweaters and oversized jackets don are a rich blend of blues, burgundies, and soft neutrals anchored by black and white to provide a clean, and modern touch.

On the other hand, Lady Remix is the new breed of androgynous couture. It strives to combine the tomboy chicness of streamlined designs with the dainty and refined details of lady like structures. This revolutionary approach is the answer to the quest of femininity that pairs sensuality with restraint.

Completing the persona of Lady Remix features the emergence of tailored separates: the Men’s Trouser and the 70’s Suit. There will also be Knee Length A-line and Trumpet Silhouettes for the key pieces in this set. With pintucks, lace inserts, jacquard patterns and fabric striping and color-blocking, BCBGMAXAZRIA pushes the borders in creating pattern. These visual elements break the monotony of the pieces to make each skirt, pantsuit or jacket a class in its own kind. The fabrics used to create the Lady Remix collection span from a variety of crepe suiting, silk crepe de chine, silky georgette, satin-back crepes, lace accents, silk and cotton canvas, eco leather and silk blends in sweater jacquards.

To add texture to the pieces in this collection, Wild Life will feature three-dimensional embroideries, striped eco leather and fabric blocking details to complete each look. There will also be bold statement jewelry in gold and gunmetal combinations, textured leather and novel treatments in handbags and accessories, and novelty buckles in belts to accentuate the entire collection.

Indeed, the Wild Life and Lady Remix collections of BCBGMAXAZRIA are the perfect fit to accompany the urban lifestyle of the modern, powerful, and elegant woman.

Get the Best for FLAWLESS Guaranteed Hygienic

Flawless guaranteed hygienic Flawless Guaranteed Hygienic fashionAtetheLawyer

Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Maxene Magalona and Divine Lee, say that one thing they all have in common (aside from being celebrity endorsers of Flawless) is their belief that cleanliness is the first step to achieving beautifully radiant skin.

“Aside from having really effective products and services, I want my skincare clinic to prioritize cleanliness. I mean, cleanliness is the first step to a healthy and beautiful skin, right? I’m really happy that Flawless puts hygiene as a top priority. I’ve been to their clinics countless of times and there’s not one visit when I did not feel special. I just really love Flawless.” Jasmine Curtis-Smith

I’m really happy that Flawless puts hygiene as a top priority. I’ve been to their clinics countless of times and there’s not one visit when I did not feel special. I just really love Flawless.”
Jasmine Curtis-Smith

Think that all skin clinics are created equal? Think again.

If you’re a fan of treatments offered at skincare centers, chances are you’ve been to a few and thus know that—price points and interiors aside—they are far from being the same, especially so when we talk about the rituals done before, during and after treatments. Hygiene is of course an issue, and one that the country’s preferred clinic for face, body and medical services, Flawless, takes very seriously.

“We know that hygiene is key to avoiding infections and maintaining the overall wellness of the skin,” shares Rubby Sy, Flawless’ CEO. “Needless to say, you can’t give your patients beautiful skin without superior hygienic practices. For this reason, we’ve decided to further improve our sanitary practices to put them at par with hospitals.”

“I only have two requirements for my skin and body needs: First, I need to know that the products and services are medically-proven effective. Second, I need my skincare provider to be really really really clean—as in all aspects of the operation. Flawless was able to provide me both that’s why I’m very loyal to them.” Divine Lee

Divine Lee

From hand sanitizers that are strategically placed all over all its clinics (for everyone’s use)
to sterilized tools sealed in individual pouches, disposable headbands and towels stored in cabinets with UV lamp sterilizers, Flawless takes pride in employing the strictest sanitary protocols to ensure that each client that walks into their doors get the best service they deserve, in the safest environment that the company can provide.

“I’m very-O.C. when it comes to sanitation and all my friends and followers know that. I always have a bottle of alcohol and wipes within reach. Of course, I want my skincare provider to be the same way--O.C. Clean. That’s why for my skincare needs, I only trust Flawless.” Maxene Magalona

Facial treatments and medical peeling are among the flagship treatments of the famed skincare center. According to Rubby Sy, Flawless boasts of its unique advantage of having a core of full-time doctors working as medical aesthetic professionals for the company. “Through them, we’re able to provide thorough consultation, personalized service, and top-notch treatment to our patients. The fact that our practitioners undergo continuous training and are experienced with the latest advancements in dermatological technologies further ensures that our patients get the care and treatment that they deserve.”

Every day, before and after operations, every Flawless clinic is thoroughly cleaned by staff to ensure that clients are able to enjoy a safe and relaxing environment. The company requires that at day’s end, all machines must be thoroughly cleaned, bed sheets replaced with fresh ones, and tools and towels placed inside hot cabinets with UV lamps.

We are powered by Skin Professionals that’s why every step we take—no matter how big or small—is based on the principle of integrating high levels of professional practices with medically-sound solutions. Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf makes Everyday Extraordinary

#EverydayExtraordinary

#EverydayExtraordinary

We all want lives that are filled with extraordinary experiences, but the reality is that most of the time life itself gets in the way. Work, errands, traffic, monetary issues, and other mundane details all seem to conspire to make more of our days tedious, unexceptional and often downright dreary.

CBTL 5 fashionAtetheLawyer

At The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®, we believe that extraordinary should be neither elusive nor inaccessible. It doesn’t have to be back packing in the French countryside or scuba diving in El Nido. A great book or movie can be extraordinary, so can a stimulating conversation with an old friend, and who doesn’t love a great meal?

Certainly a meal in a restaurant with a tasteful, cozy ambiance and great customer service can be extraordinary too, especially if the dish is something different from anything out there, and all the more extraordinary for its distinctness. Throw in the most ideally-suited wine, a sinfully delicious desert, and a world-renowned cup of coffee, and you have not only a difficult-to-forget experience, but one that you’ll want to repeat as often as possible. Such an experience is what they aim to deliver at the 26th St. Bistro by The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®.

Much like how The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® redefined our expectations of the café, 26th St. Bistro elevates the casual dining concept by serving up a gustatory experience you don’t normally get in a comfortable, cozy, everyday atmosphere.

Anyway, curious about the CBTL Logo? as we go on talking I learned (Thank you so much Jaybee Chun and JV Roman for sharing) that the bean on top is the representation that in every coffee bean harvest, they only get the top 1% of the same size and shape of Pure Arabica beans  (which means it’s the best of the best kind) and the leaves under is the top two tea leaves and a bud ( take note, the most flavorful) that they’ll get from every set, which means you get the best of the best in a cup of CBTL Signature!

Its always worth the price, the taste and everything when you know the history of you are drinking or eating. Its like knowing and experiencing their culture.

I swear all of them are so good  and now my favorites , and before I forgot, I discovered their Anniversary Blend Tea, (make it Latte and you will love it more! ) Its a must try! As in!  thanks to the beautiful ladies Jaybee and JV for the reco.

It was one extraordinary night for us and I assure you that CBTL will make your #EverydayExtraordinary too.

XOXO,

Dating back to 1884, Victorinox is a Swiss heritage brand that has proved its unparalleled claim for superior product innovation through its cutting-edge selection of Swiss knives, time pieces, apparel, travel gear, cutlery, and fragrances.

An ultimate and global provider of sophisticated and reliable lifestyle products, Victorinox has undeniably brought pride and utmost recognition to its homeland. Primarily, the brand has constantly exhibited high-grade craftsmanship, top-notch quality, and state-of-the-art innovation – all of which are distinct marks of the Swiss culture.

With a full intent to re-introduce itself to its highly-discerning market, the world’s most beloved and iconic Swiss brand, Victorinox, celebrated yet another milestone by hosting “Klasse,” a chic and stylish evening gathering held last August 14 at Oz Bar at the Holiday Inn – a meaningful gathering which was also in line with the recent Swiss National day celebrations.
