Hennessy showcased some of the most respected names in the Philippine music industry today together with the top international female DJ duo awarded by djmag.com. The opening act of the night had local DJs Abdel Aziz and Silverfilter going head to head, prepping attendees for a night of excitement and musical creativity. After the DJ set, Up Dharma Down wowed the room with their signature and unparalleled style. Awesome symphony of sound was conducted by Motherbasss, Quest and the Manila String Machine.

Team James and Team Phil Reveal Roster for Final Battle

This June 7, the Younghusband rivalry will finally be settled in the Clear Dream Match 3 – the biggest football all-star game in the country. Aside from the game being the final battle for Clear supremacy between the siblings, the Clear Dream Match is made even bigger with the presence of Manchester United legends Paul Scholes and Andy Cole.

After weeks of voting and competitive team campaigning, Team James and Team Phil rosters were officially decided last April 30 at Hyve.

With more than 700,000 votes, the 50-player voting pool consisting of the top ranked United Football League players based on statistics was trimmed down to 30, each one to be drafted by captains James and Phil Younghusband.

“With both teams tied at 1-1, the competition between the brothers is the most intense it has ever been. Both teams have been actively campaigning on social media just to rally their fans to vote which team will have the first draft pick,” Clear Brand Manager, Drew Copuyoc said.

Following last year’s formula the first draft pick was determined by the fans. Since March 10 fans have tirelessly supported their favorite team through digital participation –the number one most digitally active fan will get the chance to fly to Old Trafford to watch a Manchester United game live.

This year’s Clear Dream Match draft consisted of four rounds. Garnering more than 2 million points online, Team Phil was awarded the first draft pick then after, James and Phil took turns in selecting their top five.

The second round was the amateur selection, where Team James and Team Phil, together with their co-captains Nate Burkey and Carlie De Murga selected their picks from the top 6 amateurs.

In the third round, the brothers drew lots to complete their roster. Then in the last round, the brothers had wild card picks. The wildcard pick could be any player either within the voting pool, or outside the voting pool. But to stir things up, Team James was given an extra wild card pick for winning last year’s Clear Dream Match.

The biggest headline, however, was that online fan engagement would still continue until May 25. The Team with the highest points by May 26 will get the privilege of selecting the Manchester United legend they want on their team.

With the teams set, the battle for Clear Supremacy inches closer to completion. The Clear Dream Match will be on June 7th at the University of Makati football grounds. Tickets are sold in all SM ticket outlets starting May 1.

Then, to push things further, for the first time ever, Magnum has tied up with Hollywood greats such as acclaimed director Bryan Singer (who is about to release the much awaited second installment of the XMen franchise this 2014), Oscar winner Benicio del Torro (about to come out as The Collector in The Guardians of the Galaxy, the second installment of the Avengers franchise), and Brazilian supermodel and actress Caroline Correa to create a golden cinematic trailer to launch the newest flavor, Magnum Gold.

Inspired by this cinematic feat, Magnum Philippines spun its own story of action and suspense. Last February 5, motorists weaving their way around the heavily congested Makati area may have caught a glimpse of a massive golden vault, marked only by the letter ‘M,’ being escorted through traffic, casting an air of mystery and anticipation. This 7×7 foot-large vault of shining gold was hauled from the RCBC Tower on Ayala Avenue to the Fort Bonifacio Activity Center, guarded by an entourage of BMWs ensuring its safe arrival. Once at the Fort, the golden vault was held under maximum security and will continue to be guarded until its unveiling on February 9.

Known for its two all- star football games, and represented by Philippine Azkals, James and Phil Younghusband, CLEAR wishes to further aid the development of Philippine football through a regional search for the top 32 young footballers in the country which will culminate in a 3-day Clear-Manchester United Football Camp facilitated by the ClearManchester United Soccer Schools.

The 3-day football camp will bring in UEFA accredited coaches and utilize the club’s prestigious training program that has worked with world-class players such as David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, and CLEAR global endorser and 2014 FIFA Ballon D’Or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo.

“This is a step closer to Clear’s goal of inspiring the next generation of young footballers in the country,” Lorenzana said.

To kick off the search, CLEAR, in partnership with the United Football League (UFL), will hold try-outs in Davao, Bacolod, Cebu and Metro Manila.

Interested applicants can apply by going to www.cleardreammatch.com.ph starting February 1 or by calling 0999-768-4551. Tryouts will take place in the following dates March 22 (Cebu), March 23 (Iloilo), March 29 (Davao), March 30 (Metro Manila), April 25-27 (Camp).
