With the eclectic mix representing the Brasilipinas community, the groups of Brigada, Escola Samba de Manila, Escola Brasileira de Capoeira, Imperatriz Filipinense Samba School, and Futkaleros gave us a true reflection of the streets of Brazil through their stimulating and moving performances through elaborate costumes, stirring music and passionate moves.

But the real thrill in Make Your Own Havaianas came in the ability to mix and match everything: from the soles and the straps, to color combinations inspired by street art, and to the fun limited edition pins – all exhibiting the spirit of Brazil. As a highlight for the ninth year of this event, a 200-year old tradition from Brazil was the inspiration behind this year’s commemorative pair featuring colorful Bonfims — Brazilian wish ribbons that are worn for good luck. The print wishes every wearer Alegria, Diversao, Empolgacao, Euforia, and Felicidade or Joy, Amusement, Excitement, Euphoria and Bliss – true to the Havaianas always summer spirit.

Having grown in more ways that mere celebrity and fame, these individuals are the top of their game and their time is now. BIANCA GONZALEZ
Bianca Gonzalez is a TV Host, fashion magazine editor, and media personality whose voice resonates with the Filipino youth. DC Launch Night at 7th High

DC Shoes has announced the highly anticipated 2013 South East Asia Tour. The tour spanning across three different countries, will bring DC’s world-renowned skate team to Philippines, Singapore, and Indonesia. On the tour, South East Asia skate fans will have the chance to get an up close and personal DC skateboarding experience through instore signings and skateboarding demonstrations.
